Over the years, Applegarth Farm has changed what it offers. They had grand plans which were sadly hit by the Covid pandemic My wife and I come here mainly to the deli and farm shop. They have a great kitchen that makes nice quiches, sausage rolls, cakes and salads. They also have a decent cheese counter. In addition, there is a nice selection of food and produce including fresh vegetables. A fishmonger comes here on Thursdays The restaurant has now reduced hours but Bucci Pizza and Dylan’s ice cream add food options. In addition, there’s a pet shop and an art gallery onsite

Lovely new find with a beautiful setting and friendly, smiling staff! Loads of food choices, all homemade.....it's just that if you are vegan you'd struggle, that's why a star has fallen. I imagine they might rustle something up if you asked..... But the food that was had by others was amazing, and the apple danish was out of this world; it was actually glazed with apricot jam, like in the good old days of proper baking! I'd still highly recommend it here, it's well worth a visit if you aren't a vegan
We came yesterday for lunch and we are so glad we did, the food was incredible and very generous portions, the waitresses were so sweet and the food really was so fresh and high quality, highly recommend their Pear and Date pudding! Can’t wait to come back
Revisited April '25 - the coffee is still as good and the eggs on sourdough lived fully up to expectations. I can't tell you exactly what a Bakewell blondie comprises, but it takes Bakewell tart to the next level! Really exceptionally good espresso (I had two, just to make sure) and an amazingly chargrilled bacon sandwich on sourdough which I can still taste now. Fantastic
Lovely food. I stopped in here for a salad box and wasn't disappointed. Under £5 for a beautiful gourmet salad. It included red cabbage salad, remolade celeriac salad and roasted vegetables (butternut and red onion) I chose 2 slices of rare beef to accompany it and it was all incredible. Flavour was amazing I will be coming back. Thank you. The lady who served was very efficient and friendly. I got a couple of cheeses too. One had won world awards. Perfect for guests!
